About three years ago with my best friend. We have had encounters with the paranormal prior to this event, and after it. My friend and I were going to stay at her family's cabin in Colorado (near Boulder, I think) for a few days. Actually, we were going to be in what her family fondly refers to as The Shack. It's about a mile from the main cabin in a small clearing, near a river.
Anyway, when we began planning this trip, we decided to try summoning fairies. We gathered some things to leave as offerings (small candies, clovers, and apples). The night we called them was very clear and cool. I think it may have been a new or last quarter moon, because it was very dark. We lit a fire and used this incantation (which I found on the internet)
Sit where the cat sits
Cross your toes
Close your eyes
And smell a rose
Then say under your breath
"I believe in Fairies, sure as death"
Gadflykins! Gladtrypinn! Gutterpuss and Cass!
Come to me fairly, each lad and Lass!
For a while nothing happened, so we just chanted, " I do believe in fairies" for a few minutes. We began to see small (maybe three inches tall, one inch wide) white lights glowing in the lower branches of the pine trees around the clearing. They lingered briefly, and then vanished. This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. |

I was about to make a fairy home when my mom told me to take a shower when I got in I herd music similar to the music I was singing to fairies at my grandmas house I looked at the wall and saw the reflection of a flash I turned around but didn't see anything. Then the music stopped. I was almost done when I heard the music again then my chest started burning. I was scared but happy. Scared because the fairy i saw might have caused my chest to burn but happy that I saw a fairy. |

I’ve never actually seen or heard faeries, but I’ve been thanked by them. Once when I was 8, I built an adventure trail for faeries in my cousin’s backyard. I slept at her house so I could see what the faeries would do the next day. The next morning, I went out in the backyard, and wow!! They actually came to the trail! There were brightly colored flowers all over the trail! After that, I was a follower of faeries!! |

It happened at age 10.It started October 2007. I was going camping with my family. Everyone was going to get firewood, but I stayed behind because I was too cold. I was sitting by the dimmed fire when I saw a yellow glowing ball skid across the lake. It flew up and started to zoom about. It looked like a big yellow firefly with huge butterfly wings. I heard a really high-pitched voice whisper my name but that time men were going hunting. So when I heard a gun shot, It disappeared. That was the one time that I ever thought that I saw a fairy. |

I went to a fairy tea party with my friends Lyalka and Mercutio (mother who I like Miss April). So I was walking and looking outside for things to use in the fairy house we were going to make but then when I was walking past their tree-house (A tree that curves around to make a lot of room in the middle that they put stuff in.) when a white mist with a glowing white ball in the front (it was like the white mist was following it but the 2 were attached.) then it separated and on the right separation it turned into a boy fairy!!! Then it flew into the tree house, the white mist vanished, and I didn't see it again! |

When my friend and I were having our annual Midsummer's Eve sleepover, we looked out side at around midnight to see if any fairies came to the fairy houses we made earlier that day. The saw some of the things rearranged and went back to looking in my yard. In my backyard there is a very large woods, and we saw many tinkling lights of silver! We both saw the same thing-- everywhere!!!!!!!! It was sooooo cool. Then in the morning, we found glitter on our fairy house we made together. We backed up to study it and we both stepped into a FARIE RING!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I know! How cool, right? Well that's my story... I tell of more sightings! Hopefully soon. Midsummer’s eve is tomorrow and I am having a sleepover. |

Each night I stay up late because I often sleep in. Well, I was one night, maybe a week or two ago, and I was reading. It was pretty quiet in my room, which was nothing new. But I kept hearing little rasping sounds, kind of like footsteps. I wasn't sure what to think of it at first. I guess it was one of my posters rubbing against the wall because of my fan. So, I went and checked each one, but they were all tapped down pretty solid. What's more, the noise was becoming distinctive to my ears. I knew I had to find the source of it if I wished to have any peace during the night to come. I decided to figure where the sounds were coming from first.
I sat on my floor and was totally silent as I waited. Plunk, tap, chi. I listened to them the best I could until I noticed they were from out side my bedroom window. My window is just above this sort of bush thing in my back yard that's been there since before my family moved in. I went to look out my window, but it was hard to see because of the plastic my dad put over all the windows in the house to keep it cool in the summer. I had to peel it off a little before I could twist the blinds open. The rhythmic tapping paused for a moment that felt like forever before it started up again. Plunk, tap, chi. My eyes strained to focus in the dark. Soon, after I'd been staring at a particular spot on the grassy floor of my yard, I could make out two, tiny, snow-white figures.
I didn't know what to think at first. They were two males. One with hair so blonde, it seemed white in the night pulled back in a tiny ponytail in the back. The other with raven black hair that lay neatly cropped short. Their skin had an unnatural glow to it. That made me wonder why I had to adjust my eyes to see them more clearly. Also, I should have been in a state of shock while I watched the black haired figure pound away on a small branch of my bush. It must've been one of those things that's so wonderful, so absolutely amazing, that you can almost, maybe believe it's happening. Of course, while I gawked down at them in my magic induced state, I didn't realize the white haired one was looking up at me. We stared quietly at each other as if we were strangers on a bus, sharing a seat. By the expression on his face, which was pure curiosity and caution, I could tell that he had never seen a human. Just as I had never seen something like him.
The few minutes that I spent examining the two magical figures could have ran on for hours until my little friend (as I often call the white haired boy) and his company seemingly decided that their business in my yard, by my bush, was finished. I watched intently as they left, but there was this feeling in my stomach telling me to bang my fist as hard as I could against my window and beg the serine little people to stay longer. It was horrid to have to suppress that feeling because I knew that this memory was one that would keep me awake for nights to come and after that I would still ponder over my sighting and wander if it was real. Wander if I was just too tired. But they left. They left in a little flash of silver light. They were barely noticeable, coming and going. I stayed up late and thought about what they could be. My first thought was fairies. Then, I realized that they had no wings. Nor did they wear flowers and leaves as clothes, just cloaks made out of some silvery, soft material. So, could they be fairies? Do fairies have to be like those in storybooks and Disney movies? Of course not. If they were, then they would've been caught ages ago! So, they could have been fairies. Then again, they could have been anything. |

One time I was at a hot springs and I met this girl there. She and I both believed in fairies. We heard that fairies were attracted to shiny rocks. We searched everywhere, including a very flat rock. Then we asked a beautiful young lady if she'd seen any shiny rocks anywhere. Then she said, I think there are some over on that rock. Then on that same flat rock were two little pink rocks. Then I look into the bushes because I heard a noise, a small figure darted from behind the bush so quickly, all I saw was a foot, some hair and part of what seemed to be a wing. |
