We received this letter from South Africa!

Hi. I'm from South Africa. I've always been fascinated
by fairies and angels, and I've had an experience with an angel
before, but this is about fairies - somewhat more elusive. I read
all I can about fairies and angels, and every possible book and
article seems to find its way to me.
My father tells me that I have an arial quality
about me, and I recently had a photograph taken in which my sister
claims I look like a fairy! I'm beginning to suspect I might have
fey blood, like Arthur and Guinevere!
I've had a few experiences when I've thought
I MIGHT have seen a fairy out of the corner of my eye, but two undisputed
experiences. I'm quite nocturnal, and both experiences occured at
night. The first one I felt was of the sylph variety, of the air
element. It looked exactly like Tinkerbell, and was completely silver,
showing up at night. It flashed by me as I got into bed. The other
was more of a fire fairy, of the salamander variety. It also had
the Tinkerbell look, but was orange and fiery, consisting of flame.
I'd happily take a polygraph test to prove the
authenticity of my story. I'm not lying! Fairies are not a joke.
My mother has started seeing them, too.
Love ya, Debbie

Hi there!
I've written before - from South Africa. Just
to let you know that since I last wrote I have seen many more fairies
- I basically see them every day, sometimes several times a day.
There is some exciting news. If there could ever have been any doubt
that I was merely seeing things, there no longer is. One of the
fairies got pysical with me. I was standing in front of the mirror
in the bathroom, and a fairy flew up to me. It was reflected in
the bathroom mirror as clearly as I saw it. It flew into my hair
with a kind of buzz - it was directly equivalent to having a kind
of firefly flying into my hair.
I wrote before of having seen a fairy of the
sylph element and one of the fire element. Some of my other highlights
have been one made of water. As I once let out my bath water, it
rose out of the water. It looked like any normal fairy, but was
made of water. I also saw a fairy that must have been of the earth
element - it walked about the potplants outside, was big for a fairie,
and was completely neon pink. Perhaps it had been eating pink geraniums!
It might have been a dwarf or a gnome.
I very often see little electric blue lights
or golden-white ones, which other writers have mentioned on your
site. They are fairies who choose to appear to us in that form,
I have heard. They are fairly bold, and come right up to me. Every
year when I have a birthday my sister buys a new fairy book for
me, and sometimes a glittered fairy card. A MUST is Suza Scalora's
book The Fairies.
Love and fairy kisses,
Debbie

Hi! I live in Canada. My name is Sara. The time
I saw a faerie was just today. (11/3/2002) I had made a faerie house
and put it in my lilac tree a few days ago. As I was looking at
the tree, slowly a greenish-brown figure flew over it. It was too
small to be a bird and it couldn't be a butterfly because it's November,
and I live in Ontario and it's actually pretty cold out. I told
my mom but she didn't believe me. It was the greatest thing ever
because I really love faeries. I suspect it was flying to it's house!
I just can't believe it!
Faeries forever! love, *Sara*

My friend and I really love fairies. For Christmas
my friend got a music box with a fairy on it. In the background
of the picture was a tree that look similar to one in the woods
by our house. We took the music box and went to the tree. When we
got there we saw tiny little foot prints. We played the music box
and I could have sworn I heard them laugh.

An amazing story from Nova Scotia we received in mid July 2003!
|

From Nova Scotia, Canada
When I was younger (7 or 8) I lived with my grandparents.
They lived in a subdivision surrounded by a forest. I had a friend
who I always used to play in the forest with. We'd collect sticks
and build tree houses with them and play along the stream.
One day I was in the forest with her and I kept
seeing something out of the corner of my eye. It was a little person
peeking out from behind a tree, just a bit shorter than me. When
I turned to look at them they'd disappear behind a tree. At first
I thought it was my brother playing tricks but I went to look and
no one was there.
I didn't mention it to my friend because I was
worried I was going crazy. I noticed she started to look behind
the trees as I had been doing before and I asked her what was wrong.
She said that she kept seeing someone behind the trees. I told her
about what I was seeing and we went on a search for this person
or people. We kept seeing them out of the corner of our eyes but
when we looked to see them straight on they'd zip behind the trees.
They were dressed in brown.
For most of the summer we'd always go into the
woods and try to see these people. It became a game like hide and
seek. We never did see them properly though. Every time I'd go inside
I'd have a weird feeling. The only way I can explain it is if you've
ever been woken up in the middle of a deep sleep and a vivid dream
and then have to get up and go about your mundane life. It's like
you're still living that dream. At our age we thought they were
Santa's elves checking up on us.
The second story you might like for faery encounters.
Being a believer in faeries, I decided one day
to leave them a gift. I had a little seashell and a shiny glass
bead and I laid them on a rock at the edge of my yard. I said, "This
is for you good faeries", and turned and walked away. As I
was walking away I noticed my cat was walking towards the spot where
I'd left their gift. Not wanting to have a faery massacre I turned
around to call my cat back and I saw a faery! It was almost like
a giant yellow butterfly that kind of soared or swooped from the
spot where I'd left the gift into the top of a nearby tree. I considered
the possibilities of it being a butterfly or a bird. It couldn't
be a bird because it had butterfly wings and it had no body... and
it disappeared when it got to the top of the tree.
If it was a butterfly it was huge and an amazing
flyer. Each wing was about the size of my hand and instead of fluttering
like a butterfly it quickly swooped. I went inside to think about
what I saw then went back outside and sat on my deck. Something
fairly big kept swooping around my head. It was too quick to see
properly and was much bigger than a bug. It was probably too quick
for a bird. All I noticed was that it was a brownish color.

A fairy helps a young person on a family outing!

I am a 12 year old believer of fairies, I want
to tell you my story. I was on vacation with my family in Colorado
and we were going to Pike's Peak and I was excited. I was happy
to go, but when we got there, I began to feel short of breath and
I was worried that I might pass out. Then I saw this small light
and I didn't know what it was and so I just left it alone. Soon
it came closer and then it flew off into the distance...then I could
breath. I believe fairies have healing powers

Check out this amazing discovery made during wintertime frolicking!

This had happened when I was twelve just a couple
of months ago. It was in January and we had a lot of snow. My neighbor,
my sister and I were all playing in the snow, playing hide and seek
when I saw the faerie. I was the person who was seeking the other
two. I was going around my yard looking for them when I heard this
little giggle from behind a tree. When I looked under the tree,
I saw a blue light glowing thing and it then flew away . I thought
it was my imagination so I went on looking for my friends but when
it was my turn to hide I went behind a tree and saw the blue glowing
thing again flying away! I was convinced this had to be something
supernatural because I'm sure nothing normal looks like that. I
aslo heard this really weird noise. If I had to describe the closest
sounding thing that was like it- I would have to say it was like
a bee buzzing along but the faerie's sound was much more soothing.
To check to see if I wasn't imagining all this I took like flower
petals ( I had heard that they eat those sometimes) and put them
under the tree where I had seen it the first time. When I checked
on the petals I saw one was bitten out of. Of course it was a very
small bite though because the thing I saw couldn't have been more
than 5-7 inches!

A strange sighting in a backyard!
|
|
 |
 |
 |
| |
I used to live in Calgary, Alberta and I believe
I have seen a Fairie or little person. I have a large window leading
into my front yard where I have three large pines. I was just casually
walking by the window where I swear I saw a guy, with a brown beard
dressed in blue or grey partly hidden by the tree, staring at me.
Then he moved impossibly fast behind the tree and vanished. I later
did the measurements and from what I saw this fellow was about thee
or four feet tall! Now I have seen some strange things but that
has to be one of the stangest.

A bat or a fairy? A mysterious nighttime visitor fill a girl
and her friend wonder...
|
|
 |

My best friend and I think we saw a fairy. At
first we thought it was a bat because we had seen a lot that night.
We were walking in my neighborhood when we saw it. It was flying
around this big old tree. I figured it couldn't be a butterfly because
it was around 10 at night and it was too big to be a butterfly.
The wings were kind of a lavender color. We didn't really see a
face but we noticed what looked like to legs. When I flew in front
of us we got scared and ran because it was right in front of my
face. I feel bad because we might have scared it away. I'm not sure
if what we saw was a fairy but I'm hoping it was. Deanna

Our young friends Amanda and Nikki shared this story with us
in summer 2003.
|

 |
 |
 |
| |
We build a faerie pavilion surrounded by a little
fake muddy lake, and had left them Fruity Pebbles and one was gone
the next day.
We saw them through my window and decided to
stay inside so we didn't scare or annoy them. Their wings sort of
looked like butterfly wings. One must have been a light faerie or
one of the water element. It flashed blue and white.
