I have always felt the presence of fairies around
me, especially in forests and calm, peaceful places with few people.
One day, when I was five, I was in Highpark on a walk with my parents
and brother. I had strayed from the path while they were watching
a bird. What I saw was strange, I was attracted to the sound of
soft singing, and I felt a warm breeze pulse over me. As I moved
towards the sound, I heard other little voices, and much giggling.
I was amazed to find a clearing surrounded by bushes and trees,
and in the center were hundreds of tiny, human-like creatures. All
were radiating gentle glow and had beautiful wings, some looked
like carved wood, song looked like little wisps of wind, some were
pure golden light, and some were blue and moved around like water.
Then I saw the largest ones, they were at least 9 inches tall and
red, they were dancing to fiddle and flute music, flames rose from
their mouths when they sang. But these fairies saw me and fled,
many behind trees or into the branches or in bushes. And the feeling
I had when they were there, dancing, singing, I felt calm, mystified,
magical, like I was a cloud or even a fairy! I recognized this feeling
as one I had felt before, because I know I had previous contact
with them, though they have never spoken to me, they have always
shown themselves to me, somehow they could tell I didn't want to
harm them, so I would sit and listen to them. It was magical, wonderful.
I would thank them before I left and I would see little smiles on
their faces.

I live in California, and my friend spent the
night one night at my house and we are strong believers of the magical
world and believe in all kinds of things like fairies and mermaids,
etc. Well we read somewhere that if you stay up until midnight you
are able to see fairies, especially on mid summers Eve. Anyways,
we were in my room and I was taking random pictures out my window
with my cell phone, and since I have a screen on my window, and
when it's dark out, you cant see anything when you take a picture.
But when I looked at the screen, I saw what looked to be a girl
in her early 20s or late teens, and it looked like she was in like
a wedding gown and she had a book in her hands and her head was
bent. She also had a green-whitish glow around her. I showed it
to my friend and we got pretty excited about it. And since it was
pretty late, we went to bed and I saved the picture on my phone.
Then a couple of days later, I went to look at my photos on the
phone, and I went through all of them and it seemed to just have
vanished! I went through them about three times and I still didnt
find it! Since then, Ive seen a few little white lights around
my house and we don't have fireflies around my neighborhood.

I have seen fairies two times; the first one
was at school. It was recess time and I and my friends decided to
walk the track and talk about fairies. I asked all my friends if
they had seen any fairies and they all said yes. And I told them
I hadn't seen any fairies so I wanted to know what is were like
to see them. They told me it's the best thing they'd ever seen.
So we kept talking about fairies until my teacher told us to line
up for music. While my friends and me where in line I asked my friend
Jessica if she could tell me if any fairies were near. She told
me there were, I was so excited. She told me to try to see one.
So when I was walking I saw this dancing figure with wings and it
was in front of me just dancing. When I blinked it was gone. I was
so happy that I saw one though. The next time I saw a fairy was
during the summer. I was outside around dusk, I was swinging on
my swing when suddenly right by the swinging post there was these
wings that were light green and dark green they were so beautiful.
It only stayed for a second then it was gone. I have always believed
in fairies ever since and I hope I can see them again soon.

I was out in my back yard sitting in my trampoline.
I was facing the woods behind my house. Suddenly a blue light appeared
on a plant. I stared at it, and then I realized it might be a faerie,
so I tried not to blink (as they tend to disappear if you do). I
think a saw a small figure start to emerge inside the light. It
was very faint at first, but then it grew stronger and denser. I
only saw it for about two minutes before it disappeared. Sometimes
when I am walking in the woods I see flashes of light or movement.
I am very glad to have such a special and magical place so close
to me. I give you permission to reprint this.

My sighting was a couple of days ago (7/2007).
I was about to go to sleep when I looked outside. There was a light
blue glowing light shifting from one side to another. Then I blinked
and it was gone. Another sighting happened yesterday. My friend
Ashley and I were playing outside when we heard singing. We followed
the voice to a tree and tapped our fingers to the beat- it was SO
fun. Then we turned and saw a fairy with a white gown and reddish
blonde hair. We think it was the queen.

Tuesday, August 07, 2007 ...around noon I asked
my mom if I could go out back and she said yes. We have a pool and
I was looking around it. I looked at one of the floaties and
saw a set of wings. I took a closer look and saw that there was
a body attached. I realized it was a fairy. I have never been so
happy to see a real live fairy! The best part is that it was my
favorite type of flower fairy, a Willow Fairy. It was so exciting.

My friend and I where standing outside at my
friend's garden. Suddenly a little thing with wings flew by and
then landed on a daisy. We looked really closely at the same time
we tried not to scare it away. It had an orange dress and a very
tiny flower in its curly, brown hair. It looked liked it was scared
of something because she was breathing quickly and loudly. She said
there was a dog chasing her. My friend looked over her fence and
saw Milo, the neighbors dog looking through the fence. I said
not to be afraid. I asked her what her name was she said it was
Dahlia. She asked for our names, we told her and she said she would
visit again, but she had to go. It was the most interesting thing
that happened in my life.

I write to my fairies at least once a week and
usually they reply. The only time they didn't (they wrote to me
about it later) was when they were visiting their cousins in Cornwall.
Just after they returned, I saw something fly into a hanging basket
beside my house. As I looked closer I noticed it looked as if it
had a face and it was hiding in between the flowers. It was then
I was sure I'd spotted a fairy. After that, the fairies ceased to
write back. I will be waiting further signs, and I think it might
have something to do with what I saw.

I have always believed in fairies as long as
I have lived. So I will tell you the story of when my mom saw a
fairy. There was this schools dance at her high school and since
her two friends were going she decided that she would go pick them
up. When her first friend got into the car, they were laughing and
having a good time. But soon some thing sparkly white was flying
in front of the car! The two girls started screaming and the friend
cried out "It's the angel of death and she came for us!"
Which only made a bad situation worse. Finally the glowing blob
flew away. They both agreed that they were seeing things and that
if they told anyone, they would be labeled as crazy. So they soon
forgot it was with them to begin with. They were at they're last
friends stop, but she wasn't ready. She invited them in and when
they got up to her room the girl said she needed a mirror to see
where her earring was on her ear. So she left to go to the bathroom.
My mom and her friend (the first one in the car) were left alone.
That's when they saw it again, the glowing fairy! I know my mom
would not lie about this.

Today I was scootering when I looked up and
saw a cloud smiling, with little twinkles around it. I heard a buzz
in my ear and I turned. Nothing. I looked back. The cloud was gone!
I TOTALLY BELIEVE IN FAIRIES!
