FAIRY SIGHTINGS by ADULTS - one
| |
All the way from Australia!

Well, i have reason to believe that a small fairy
lives at the bottom of my garden. I have only seen her once as I
suspect she is very shy. On this occasion I was outside playing
with my dog and then I felt a tickle on my neck. I turned around
yet nothing was there. So I went on rubbing my dog on the tummy
when I heard a giggling noise coming from the bushes. I went to
check. I was looking for a little while when I saw her. Now, I don't
know much about fairies and all the different types there are but
this one is blue and has really bright purple eyes. I plan to go
looking for her again and next time I'll take a camera with me because
I'm sure you can tell me what kind of fairy it is. It seems to like
to play tricks on people as many people have said that strange things
have happened to them in that area followed by a faint giggling
noise from the bushes.

Decades of curious sightings in New Brunswick pique a wondering
mind...
|
|
 |
 |
 |
| |
Some sightings to report, from myself, my father,
two of my uncles, and few of my friends.... all in New Brunswick,
Canada.
I'll start with the earliest:
Early summer morning, 1967, my Christian Conservative
uncle who is Irish, was hunting in the woods. As he aimed his rifle
at a buck in the distance, he heard whistling. He looked down and
went into complete shock. A little man, about knee-high, walked
right across his path only a few feet in front of him. He was wearing
old fashioned farmer's clothes, holding an axe or some sort of tool
over his shoulder, dark tan face, old looking, with a pointed hat.
He didn't look at my uncle and didn't say anything, just whistling
as he walked by. My uncle put down his gun and left the woods for
the day. The only thing he could think it could be was a "hobbit"....
he had heard nothing about little people other than hearing about
the Tolkien book.
Summer, 1986. My childhood friend who was of
Irish decent as well and six years old, lived on a farm. There were
many large potato barns and fields. She was running through one
of these fields when she looked across the field and saw a figure
standing in the entryway of the barn. She thought it was one of
the farm hands, Barney, who used to give her candy and tell her
jokes. She yelled "Barney!", but got no answer and started
running for the barn. As she got closer to the figure, she noticed
it wasn't Barney at all. It was a tall, transparent figure with
no features, no eyes, no mouth, nothing, but it had the outline
of a tall, slender, bald man. She said she felt like it was "beckoning"
her though it didn't say anything. She said when she looked through
it was like "looking through time" though she can't explain
it. She said she never saw anything that even remotely resembled
it until she saw the liquid figures in the Terminator Movies or
the TLC "Waterfalls" video. It scared her deeply at the
time and she eventually ran away from it. She told her family she
had just seen "the Gingerbread Man."
Summer, 1987. A 10 year-old friend of mine, also
Irish, was out hunting partridge with his grandfather and they came
to a stream. My friend looked into the stream and saw what he thought
was a GI Joe doll that some one had left in the water. As he moved
closer, he saw that it is alive and moving. It was a little green
man, maybe 8-10 inches tall, completely green and naked. He called
his grandfather over to look at it and asked him what it is. His
grandfather stared in shock for quite awhile, and pulled his grandson
back away from it and said, "You just leave that alone. It's
not bothering you. You just leave that be", and he never spoke
of the incident again until 1996.
Midsummer Dusk, 1988. My best friend and cousin
on the same Irish side of the family, was out on a four-wheeler
in the woods with another friend. They stopped because they saw
a blue sparkling light along the side of their path, moving up and
down rapidly as if it were connected to an invisible wire. Being
just young, they immediately at first thought it was "tinker
belle" but then remembering that tinker belle was a cartoon
and not real. My friend then said, "Maybe it's an alien."
To which they both sped off as fast as they could.
1991, my other older uncle, also Christian conservative,
woke up in the middle of the night and felt something staring at
him. He opened his eyes and saw a little man sitting on his dresser,
staring at him. Small, about the size of a cabbage patch kid. Black,
vacant slanted eyes, tall red dunce looking hat, tan face. He was
so overwhelmed by what he saw he passed out back to sleep
1997--My high school Art teacher told a couple
of interested students, including me, that he had come home from
school one afternoon to find a group of 5 or 6 little men in his
living room. A couple of them had been sitting on the couch watching
TV and a couple were sitting on top of the TV. When he saw them
he dropped his bag of groceries and just stared. They laughed and
jumped around and then all ran out of the room. He never saw them
again but he said they were little wearing red blue and green clothing
with little shoes and little red hats.
Dawn, summer 2003. My father was standing outside
on his porch, sipping his morning coffee trying to enjoy it before
he had to go off to work, while the rest of the neighborhood lay
deep asleep. He noticed a strange beam of light casting onto the
side of the garage. He looked at it curiously, and then noticed
fluttering hummingbird like wings. As he stared at it he was slowly
able to rule out any insect or bird or humming bird, and he noticed
a white female body and legs protruding. It soared up the beam of
light and then both it and the beam of light were gone.
Dusk, July 2004. At some point during the summer,
a strange, rainbow circular impression embedded itself into my bedroom
window. I have no idea how, but you know those crop circle things?
It looks something like that, except its rainbow colored and its
impressed right into the mesh of my window screen. Near the end
of July, I spontaneously went over to this window to see if a car
were parked outside. When I lifted the blind I saw something that
had attached itself to the rainbow quickly retreat. I ruled out
bird or insect. It had large long wings, clear like a dragonfly,
but as I watched it fly away I saw long human-looking legs sticking
out of the back of it. The color impression I saw was a creamy,
peachy orange with white. I have searched high and low on the Internet
to try to find ANYTHING that resembled what I saw and I found nothing
until I found your web site. A lady had captured a picture, in which
she was having a whip cream party and happened to catch a fairy
on her film. The color, shape of the wings, everything I saw looks
strikingly like that photo.
Having done some research on the Internet because
of all of this, I decided to leave an offering in my jungle-like
garden out back. I placed mint candies inside an interesting looking
seashell that I had collected when I was in Australia. I placed
it in a special place and called out that it was for the faeries.
I went to look one week later, no trace of my
offering whatsoever.
July 2004--My 4 year old niece, Molly, in another
city close by. My niece was outside playing by herself in her backyard.
She came indoors and told to her mother, "Who are the little
men?" to which her mother responded, "What do you mean?"
Molly said she was outside playing when she saw a little green man,
who was "green all over" and stood only as high as her
knee, underneath the deck/veranda. She said he was talking to her
and she was talking to him. She did not seem one bit frightened,
only curious, much the way kids are when they first see a human
of another race. (Why is that man's skin different mommy?) Not scared,
didn't sound like she was pulling a string, but genuinely curious.
Having heard all of these stories, I was always
fascinated, but never imagined I'd ever see anything myself but
I'm certain that I did. I was not expecting it at all. And how can
I discount all of these stories? I don't know what to think, but
I know what I believe. I do believe in Faeries.

A young adult recounts a childhood of enchantment!

I have a few sightings. I was raised in Wisconsin
in an old oak forest, next to a river. The forest was thick and
had all sorts of hills, cliffs and ravines.
I was raised pagan and my family and I would
celebrate Mid-Summers Eve every year. In our ceremonies we would
have bonfires and throw herbs in them, in hopes of blessings. Some
of our herbs like thyme and rosemary were thrown in to draw the
fey (fairies) near. As children we would take plates of food out
in the woods to leave as offerings to the wood spirits. Often we
would see small orbs of blues and pale colors in the distance, and
in the forest we never went too deep, as we might get lost or anger
the spirits.
I remember going to the woods one year with my
little brother and a few other people. We saw an amazing sight!
The forest was lit up with hundreds of lightning bugs and in the
thicket we heard a flute noise and it was the most beautiful music
I've ever heard. We ventured only a little nearer to see fires over
the ravine with figures dancing and orbs galore. We were slightly
afraid and ran off. When we got back to our family, we could still
hear the music and chanting. Our family and others sat and listened
all night to it.
Another year we had made ringlets of flowers
for our heads and for around our necks. We always heard giggling,
not from the other children but from the thicket. A bunch of adults
were with us at the time and we saw this very tall, slender manly
figure come out of the thicket and watch us. He looked like he was
part tree. He was extremely handsome, and had a piercing gaze. He
stood there on the edge of the ravine and just watched us. He had
a mist around him. After a while he went back into the forest.
Even when it wasn't a celebration or holiday
we'd see the fey. When we were young children, I was about 6 or
7 and my siblings were younger, we would venture out to the woods
and play hide and seek in the old oak trees that had fallen. I remember
a couple that would come play with us. They were very elegant and
had a flowing beauty about them. Their eyes were bright greenish-blue.
They were very slim beings and never spoke, but played music for
us on a flute and small violin looking instrument. They would escort
us to the edge of the wood when our mother called us. However she
never saw them, but was amazed we always came home ok.
We always saw the orbs and colored spheres about.
I always saw something in those woods, but would never have enough
paper to write on to tell you. I'm 21 now, and I moved away last
year because my Father passed away. My Mother and siblings ended
up moving too, she could not stay there and moved closer to her
mother, who is in a different state, I moved with her, and I miss
the place so much. I still think back to all the things I saw and
heard. I hope that one day I might be able to go back again. I hope
that all these were not the mind of a child playing tricks.

I'm 19 years old I know fairies are real because,
when I was 5 years old living in Wales, I was coming back from a
birthday party with my mum, and we were walking down the lane when
I saw a fairy sitting on a rock in a puddle of water. I sat down
next to her and gave her some of my cake, she waved and flew off.
My mum also saw her, and ever since that day I have never seen a
fairy again.

An American living in France gets a late night visitor, offering
hope...
|
|
 |
 |
 |
| |
I think I may have seen several fairies in 2001
when I first moved to France from the States.
A lot of changes had happened in my life, many
painful ones to which I felt I had no more hope. I do tend to see
a few other things and usually am quite afraid of anything out of
the 'norm'.
I was awoken one night by a strange feeling,
I felt there was someone in my room so I looked around in the dark
and saw a hand sized golden glimmering light with wings flying around
my room, I thought it was a dragon fly but it was different from
any light I have seen, very beautiful, I was not afraid but rather
curious. It then started to fly closer to me. Before it got too
close I jumped from my bed to turn on my light and it disappeared.
I looked around my room to try to find it but could not see any
sign of it so I turned off my light and closed my eyes and then
had the need to look again and there it was again.
I wish I was not afraid, I slept with my light
on that night and could not see it. I have not seen it until months
later, but by that time I saw many of them. They appeared smaller
like twinkling golden stars. I do not know if I may have seen a
fairy. I have always been attracted to Fairies and collect them
as well. I have never seen them again and wish I could soon see
them without fear so I can have a closer look and perhaps understand
why they came to see me.

We received this sighting from Shahid who returned to his home
to Pakistan to make the most astonishing discovery!
|
|
 |
 |
 |
| |
Hi,
My name is Shahid in 2001 on a visit to my home
country Pakistan(Kotli) I believe I encountered what can only be
described as a fairy.
Every evening around sunset a small creature
about 4 or 5 inches in height would hover around a tree just outside
the room I stayed at. At first I took no notice of it but 5 or 6
days of repeatedly seeing this at every sunset, I thought I'll investigate
what this is.
To my surprise I could never get close enough
to see any distinguishing features but to loosely describe it to
you at first glance it looked like a moth, light greenish and brown
colour. Later I ruled this out because of the remarkable intelligence
this creature showed. It would stay around the tree for 10 minutess
or so, when I got close to it immediately it would fly off. The
speed was unlike a moth or small bird or anything I've ever seen,
it was very very fast. Its wings would move like a humming birds.
It was always silent no noise at all.
On one occasion I thought of trying to take a
photograph of it but when the film was processed nothing of the
creature would show on the photos. On another occasion I then tried
to record it using a camcorder and also failed, the days I would
setup the camcorder the creature would not come. I even setup and
had hidden the camcorder well in advance. It was like it did not
wanted to be filmed.
I stayed there for a period of 3 months and this
happened almost every sunset. My uncle tried to explain what it
was, they have something there from Persian lore I think of something
called a Peri/Pari a winged creature which can take different shapes
and sizes which resembled in feature a female humanoid but with
wings.

My
Faery sighting was not a sighting at all, It is an actual photograph
I took in my yard with a Faery in it. My daughters and I live in
California in a 1920 LA Red Car from the Red Line. (an old streetcar)
We live on a beautiful acre full of trees, flowers, animals and
plenty of children. My oldest daughter was very involved with her
own garden planting plants that would attract Faeroes, flowers,
a beautiful Faery house, and much more. She read a lot about Faeroes
and was trying to attract them to our yard. Around this time it
was 1-1-01, New Year's Day. All the neighborhood girls were over
to have a whip cream fight in our yard. There were about 10 kids.
I knew my Ricoh 35 mm camera had very low batteries which causes
slow shutter speed and might distort the photos but I knew they
would probably look cool. To my amazement when we got the photos
back my daughter saw the Faery plain as day in one of the photos.
Two legs, two arms, wings in motion, a wand, brown short hair, even
a gold tiara in her hair. I right away checked the negative, and
bright as day, the Faery is there! I did not see it at the time
I took the photo. It is beautiful! We are blessed. Saige

Hello.
This weekend as I was completing a workshop
in advanced shamanism my world was rocked.
I was at the Terra Nova Center
in NC when this happened. They have a garden known as "the Angel
Garden" where, I was told, fairies were known to appear -- only
to invited guests -- between Mother's day and the first day of summer.
I sat in the garden at 9:15 PM EDT and waited.
Somewhere between 9:30 and 10 PM, my world was rocked. A blue light
appeared across the path from me and floated or flew towards the
flowers near where I was standing. I remained quiet and still as
it floated around the flowers without blinking. Then it came near
my ankle and the blue light went out ...However, the blue circle
on the ground remained! This circle continued to move by my right
foot and around my back and around to my front - I was circled.
Then it moved away and the blue light lit up again. It flowed to
the flowers, rested and went out.
This was not a lightning bug, it did not blink
and it was not yellow or green, it was blue. What was it? It may
well have been a fairy. I suppose it's up to me to take that leap
of faith and believe or not. I'm still trying to decide.

I still can't believe I saw a fairy! My friend
Jenny and I were on a road trip last week and when we were camping
in southern Oregon, a white light blue florescent fairy fluttered
up to Jenny's face. Not knowing what it was she said what the heck
is that, and then blew it away. I then told her that it was a fairy
that she just blew away, because there was no other logical explanation.
We talked about it and vowed if it came back we would really believe
it was a fairy. Just then, the fairy came back and we walked around
following it for at least a couple minutes. The campers next to
us must have thought we were crazy. The one thing I can tell you
is that fairies are so little! And they don't have skin like humans,
they are radiant and mono-toned. I took the last picture of my roll
of the fairy and it turned out as a white glowing ball. I was kind
of disappointed, but what do you expect! It was a fairy!

I am 11 years old and live in the North East
of England. I strongly believe in fairies but have only encountered
them once at the age of 7.
It was in the 6 weeks holidays and mum, dad and
me had gone up onto the moors for the day. We stopped at a small
town, (I'm not sure of the name), and had lunch. Then we went into
a near by wood to collect Pine Cones. Mum and Dad were walking with
me when I asked if I could go and have a look in another direction.
They said ok but don't go to far and don't get lost! (It was only
a small place). I collected some acorns and pinecones, but then
I came to some plants. I took some for mum because I thought they
looked really pretty, but then I heard people laughing. I thought
it was mum and dad so I tried to walk towards the sound, but when
I got closer, it sounded as if it was coming from a tree!
I searched it and found a small hole just big
enough for me to look through. It was HOLLOW TREE and inside was
a group of shining lights. They were all hovering and were all in
a circle watching another light. They were about the size of an
index finger and all had wings.
I ran of and told mum and dad but all they said
was, "Oh, well that's nice". They didn't believe me, but
I know what I saw!! The plants turned out to be honey suckle. I
was told by my teacher that fairies enjoy eating honey suckles.
