ROSE PETAL TEA

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS
1-1/2 CUPS fresh rose petals
3 CUPS water
honey to taste

DIRECTIONS
Strip the flower gently under running water then place the petals in a saucepan.

Cover with the water and boil for 5 minutes, or until the petals become discolored.

Strain into teacups and add honey to taste.

ADDITIONAL SUGGESTIONS
Enjoy served chilled on a hot summer day with Rose Petal Ice Cubes. Brew with black tea, green tea, or a sprig of mint for a little kick!

Some Indian desserts are made with rose water, anise or fennel, and honey. For an Asian flair, try adding several rose leaves and honey to brewing chai tea or add a star anise pod, one or two clove pods, and a cinnamon stick to a pot of brewing Rose Petal Tea!
